In this 21st tutorial, we are going to learn about Content Aware Move Tool. This is one of the most basic and widely used tools in Adobe Photoshop for moving and extending large or big objects from specific areas on a layer or Photoshop document to our desired location by remixing and blending pixel data. Content Aware Move Tool has two Modes i.e. Move and Extend. In Move Mode, we move objects or subjects from one place to another. In Extend Mode of Content Aware Move Tool, we extend our object or subject and the master object remains intact as well. Photoshop CC 2014 and older versions of Photoshop did not have Transform on Drop option. After CC 2014, Adobe introduced this option. Wonderful option that lets you transform the moved or extended object before dropping to desired location. We discussed different ways to delete a layer and we also talked about Destructive and Non Destructive Work Flow in Photoshop by sampling all layers.
The keyboard shortcut key for Content Aware Move tool is letter ‘J’.
